I got these bags to dispense before my wife and I take our 5-month-old dog on his many walks. The bags are a great size. You can fit them over your hand like a mitten. They dispense easily from the box, but require some effort to tear. My only issue is that the tape holding the roll together always tears a hole in the first bag in the roll and that one needs to be thrown away. But otherwise, this is a good option.
The main attraction of this set of poop bags is the economy of scale that comes from ordering so stinkin' many of'em at one time. You'd need a lot of dogs or a dog on a Metamucil regimen to find yourself re-ordering these any time soon.They're dark, which keeps us from knowing more about our dog's poop than we prefer, and the quality is adequate if not the best.The main reason this product will be one-off for us is that we've decided we prefer the small rolls that fit in a little dispenser on the leash itself or neatly in a pants pocket. But that's mostly because our dog's pooping usually takes place on our daily walks. If you had one or more dogs who stay at home or in an enclosed area, this might be the perfect remedy for, well, you know what for.
We only have one dog, so these bags will last a few years. You don't realize how many bags are here until this big box arrives. The individual rolls are big, so not really portable. We wind up tearing of a few and stuffing them in a pocket before the walk. Thinner than others but work well. They feel the same thickness as plastic grocery bags. The first bag is taped down, but if you're careful you can stretch off the bag and only rip a small piece off the opening.OK, you're basically using these as a glove to pick up something pretty disgusting. The important part: They keep your hand away from the poop. I was able to force my hand into the bag and stretch it a good 6 inches before it started to tear. The bottom seam never tore. So even though these feel thin, they are really strong.But they are in big rolls. Picture two cans of soda, stacked. So you're not going to be carrying an entire roll. The box top is perfed for dispensing the bags. This is all about VOLUME. If you go through a lot of bags, this is a great deal. If you don't mind tearing off a few in advance and stuffing them in a pocket, go for it.
